The event con- cluded with OWA president Maureen Cavanagh sharing an intimate con- versation with special guest Dori Carlson, OD, FAAO, the first female president of the American Optometric Association. Smart Vision Labs launched SVOne, an iPhone-based refractor, last year. But its splash in New York City became bigger this year when it announced that its device is being employed in select brick-and-mortar shops.
